3D animation is animation of the elements in three-dimensional virtual reality. The main difference of 3D animation versus simple, or two-dimensional one is that a three-dimensional object can be observed from all sides, as well as from the top and from the bottom. A classical example of application of three-dimensional animation in advertisement is making still objects “alive”. For example, you want to have a realistic view of a hopping strawberry in the shot. In the era prior to three-dimensional modelling to achieve the result one would probably weight up the strawberry on a fishing line and pull it to and fro making the berry jump and hop. At present, such task is solved by way of three-dimensional modelling and animation with a guaranteed favourable result.
